The cookie paddle has a 5 year warranty. For a warranty replacement mail a check for $3.95 with your shipping information,made out to :

In the memo section of the check write cookie paddles. When we receive the check we will send out a set of cookie paddles. It is NOT necessary to send in the broken paddles.

Bosch uses this food-grade grease to keep the wire whips from squeaking first few times they are used. It is safe to use the mixer with the grease there, or you can wash it off.
